After a summer vacation that was longer than usual, I'm very happy to be back in (remote) school and the new Editor-in-Chief of The Raider Voice! With a staff of ten, most of the staff is new because we had so many seniors on staff this year. We have already published a few articles and I love that everybody on staff, like me, seems excited to be here and ready to go. Hopefully we will be back in "real school" soon, which will help us do more video projects and help the staff connect more, but for now The Raider Voice is doing great, since it's a website and can be run remotely.
We introduced some new changes to The Raider Voice. These include a new "Campus Voices" section (which will come into effect in September), removing the Lifestyles section, and next week we will begin sending "Your Weekly Briefing" emails to all students every Wednesday. I've already written an introductory editorial and an article about a summer antiracism discussion group in response to the Black Lives Matter protests this summer. Soon we will begin submitting articles to Best of SNO (for the possibility of a badge) and to the FSPA Fall Media Contest as well. I'm so excited to be back and am looking forward to what is to come!
